SAMPLE 1:

This is a sample video created as a simulacrum of what we perceived through research (see more on my video conventions post and chosen artist posts) were the signifiers that make up Bjorks visual style.

SAMPLE 2:

This video served as both as a type of test run, to see what kind of challenges we would face when filming the final shoot (see reflections presentation below) and as a narrative sample video so we and the actors had a visual reference.

ROUGH CUT:

This is our first rough cut. We tried to incorporate the conventions we outlined in a previous post and simulating Bjork's style. The main issues with this rough cut were the mise-en-scene, mainly the lack of color in the costumes and the body language of the Bjork character in the performance shoot. This was largely an issue with the direction given to the actors by me and Alex. Moving forward we wanted to keep these things in mind.

ROUGH CUT 2:

In this rough cut we switched the actor for the Bjork character, this was to help create a clearer split between the narrative and performance in the music video. The main issues with this video were the lengths of certain takes and like the previous rough cut there was a general lack of shot variety.
